EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.614 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during 9 January 2025, the index reached 38.614 points, compared to 38.595 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 7 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal and fell against Chinese Yuan.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 50.64 to EGP 50.61 while the average buying fell from EGP 50.55 to EGP 50.51 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 52.12 to EGP 52.14 while the average buying rose from EGP 52.01 to EGP 52.03 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 62.49 to EGP 62.19 while the average buying fell from EGP 62.33 to EGP 62.04 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 31.95 to EGP 32.10 while the average buying rose from EGP 31.88 to EGP 32.02 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt fell from EGP 13.79 to EGP 13.78 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.76 to EGP 13.75 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 13.49 to EGP 13.48 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.46 to EGP 13.45 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt setteled at EGP 6.90 while the average buying price setteled at EGP 6.89 at the end of today's trading.
