CIB, QNB and SC Bank Top listed banks on First Bank credit competitiveness index during 2024

First Bank Credit Competitiveness Index For Listed Banks During 2024 Revealed Commercial International Bank– “CIB” Securing The First Position On The Index. The Bank's Total Loans and Facilities For Its Customers Increased To EGP 389.575 Bn By The End Of 2024, Compared To EGP 265.104 Bn By The End Of December 2023, Marking An Increase Of Approximately EGP 124.471 Bn.
The Index Noted a Overall Increase In The Total Loans And Facilities Portfolios Of 12 Listed Banks On The Egyptian Stock Exchange, With All Banks Collectively Increasing By EGP 397.882 Bn during last year, to record EGP 1.34 tn by the end of 2024, compared to EGP945.917 bn.
First Bank Credit Competitiveness Index Measures the Ability Of Listed Banks On The Egyptian Stock Exchange To Offer Credit Or Loan Products To Attract Customers, Both Individuals And Companies. It Relies On The Absolute Value Of Growth In The Total Customer Loans, Reflecting The Bank’s Success In Building Its Portfolio.
Qatar National Bank –QNB Secured the Second Position, Its Total Loans And Facilities For Customers Increasing By EGP 96.716 Bn During 2024, Reaching EGP 365.293 Bn By The End Of 2024, Compared To EGP 268.577 Bn By The End Of December 2023.
Suez Canal Bank Took the Third Position, With Its Total Financing Reaching EGP 42.053 Bn by End Of 2024, Compared To EGP 79.167 Bn By The End Of December 2023, An Increase Of EGP 37.114 Bn During H1- 2024.
ADIB Claimed the Fourth Position, With A Total Loans and Facilities Portfolio of EGP 34.331 Bn By The End Of 2024. Compared To EGP 68.409 Bn by The End of December 2023, an Increase Of EGP 102.740 Bn.
EBank Claimed The Fifth Position With A Total Loans And Facilities Portfolio Of EGP 74.736 Bn By The End Of 2024 Compared To EGP 54.617 Bn By The End Of December 2023, With An Increase Of EGP 20.119 Bn.
