HD Bank, EGBANK, and saib the fastest growing listed banks in customer loans after exchange rate Neutralization by 2024-End

First Bank list of the fastest growing listed Banks in customer loans after exchange rate neutralization by the end of 2024 revealed that HD Bank topped the list with a growth rate after exchange rate neutralization 49.33%, recording the size of its customer loans portfolio equivalent to EGP  55.973 bn by the end of 2024 while retail loans portfolio recorded bn 27.612 EGP by the end of the same year.

This ranking shows the real growth of the listed Banks’ customer loans portfolios, especially after the fall in the value of the Egyptian pound against foreign currencies in the light of the reform decisions of the Central Bank of Egypt.

First Bank list of the fastest growing listed Banks in customer loans after exchange rate neutralization revealed the volume of customer loans of 12 Banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial statements were available by the end of 2024. The list revealed all the Banks achieved positive growth rates in the volume of their customer loans after exchange rate neutralization. 

Returning to the list, EGBank ranked second after exchange rate neutralization by 33.41% by the end of 2024, after registering the volume of its customer loans portfolio at EGP 48.033 bn while retail loans portfolio recorded bn 16.047 EGP by the end of 2024.

saib was third, after the volume of its customer loans rose at a rate of growth after exchange rate neutralization reached 30% in 9M of this year, registering EGP19.776 bn by the end of 2024 while retail loans portfolio recorded bn 65.929 EGP by the end of the same year.

As for the fourth position, ADIB received a growth rate after exchange rate neutralization of 26.92% by the end of 2024, after its customer loans portfolio amounted to EGP 102.740 bn by the end of 2024 while retail loans portfolio recorded bn 27.656 EGP by the end of the same year, followed by the United Bank with a concentration ratio of 26.63% by the end of the same year.

Credit agricole held sixth place after exchange rate neutralization by 25.71% by the end of 2024, with its customer loans portfolio recorded EGP 55,186 bn by the end of 2024 while retail loans portfolio recorded bn 14.186 EGP by the end of the same year.

It should be noted that all the above values and growth rates according to the separate financial statements announced by each bank by the end of 2024.
