HD Bank tops fastest-growing listed Banks in Retail loans by the End of 2024

Housing and  Development Bank leads First Bank's list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) most focused on retail loans in 2024, where financing for the retail banking sector accounted for about 49.33% of its total loans to customers by the end of last year.

The Bank continued to maintain its status, having also topped the "First Bank" list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) most focused on retail loans by the end of 2023.

It has a relatively large portfolio of retail loans, reaching 27.612 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 24.916 billion pounds by the end of 2023, a growth of 10.82%, and a total increase of 2.695 billion pounds.

The bank's corporate loan portfolio (including microcredit for economic activities) jumped by 37.88% over the past year, registering 28.36 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 20.568 billion pounds by the end of 2023, representing an increase of 7.792 billion pounds.

Overall, HD Bank recorded strong growth in its main indicators, with net profits jumping by 83.05% over the past year, to 11.04 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 6.03 billion pounds in 2023, a total increase of over 5 billion pounds.

The share in the Bank's profits rose over the past year by 85.2%, marking Pound18.41 per share in 2024, compared to Pound9.94 per share in 2023.

Its total assets rose to Pound179.45 billion by the end of 2024, compared to Pound125.1 billion by the end of 2023, an increase of Pound54.35 billion and a growth rate of 43.4%.

The bank's total deposit portfolio rose by 43.1% and an increase of 43.685 billion pounds over the past year, registering 144.959 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared with 101.274 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

The total loan portfolio jumped by 23.1% and an increase of 10.488 billion pounds over the past year, reaching 55.973 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 45.485 billion by the end of 2023.
