EBank's customer deposits achieve the fastest annual growth rate of 58% over the last 5 years

The Egyptian Bank for Export Development "EBank" was able to achieve the highest annual growth rate in its total customer deposits over the past year, after the portfolio volume jumped by 57.94% and an increase of 50.37 billion pounds, registering 137.31 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 86.93 billion by the end of 2023.
Tracking the portfolio growth journey over the period under analysis, "EBank" achieved its second fastest annual growth in customer deposit volume in 2021 by 27.28%, after the total portfolio moved from 50.58 billion pounds by the end of 2020, reaching 64.38 billion by the end of 2021, with an increase of 13.80 billion pounds.
The Bank also witnessed significant growth in its total customer deposit portfolio in the years following 2023, 2022 and 2020 at 19.32%, 13.16% and 18.43% respectively.
Overall, EBank achieved record results in its key financial indicators over the past year, with net profits rising by 65.93% and an increase of 2.057 billion pounds, registering 5.177 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 3.120 billion during 2023.
The Bank's pre-tax profits rose by 64.23%, registering EGP 7.278 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 4.432 billion in 2023, an increase of EGP 2.846 billion.
Net interest income rose by 53.53% and an increase of 2.900 billion pounds over the past year, to 8.319 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 5.419 billion pounds in 2023.
Net income from fees and commissions also grew by 18.29%, an increase of 263.519 million pounds over the past year, moving from 1.441 billion pounds in 2023, and registering 1.705 billion pounds in 2024.
In terms of financial position, the bank's total assets jumped at a growth rate of 55.77% and an increase of 65.11 billion pounds over the past year, registering 181.87 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared with 116.76 billion by the end of 2023.
The bank also increased credit grants to its clients by 20.12 billion pounds, after its total portfolio of loans and facilities increased by 36.84% over the past year, registering 74.74 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 54.62 billion by the end of 2023.
