SC Bank, AAIB and ADIB top the fastest growing banks in assets during 2024

First Bank's list of fastest growing banks in sssets during 2024 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped with a growth rate of 75.05%, after its portfolio rose to 180.190 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 102.939 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

 

First Bank list monitored the size of the asset portfolios of 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial statements were made available during the period under analysis, and revealed that all the banks analyzed achieved positive growth rates in the volume of their assets, with the exception of one bank that recorded a marked decline during 2024.

Returning to the list, AAIB ranked second, with its portfolio of assets rising by 71.42% over the past year, reaching 923.648 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 538.812 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB) gained third place, with its asset portfolio jumping by 61.12% over the past year, reaching 258.841 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 160.647 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

The fourth place was EBank, its total asset volume rose by 55.77% over the past year, registering 181.868 billion pounds at the end of 2024, compared to 116.755 billion pounds at the end of 2023.

National Bank of Kuwait Egypt (NBK) came fifth, rising its total portfolio of assets by 49.80% over the past year, reaching EGP 195.656 billion by the end of 2024, compared to EGP 130.610 billion by the end of 2023.

CIB is in sixth place, with its portfolio of assets rising by 45.26% over the past year, registering 1.209 trillion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 832.527 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

ABK-Egypt clinched seventh place with a growth rate of 45.07% in 2024, bringing its asset volume to 141.600 billion pounds at last year's close, compared to 97.606 billion pounds at the end of 2023.

HD Bank gained eighth place, after its asset portfolio rose by 43.45% over the past year, reaching 179.456 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared with 125.102 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

EGBANK held ninth place, with its portfolio of assets jumping by 41.33% over the past year, reaching 138.249 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 97.818 billion pounds by the end of 2023.

As for the tenth place, attijariwafa bank accounted for 40.71% of its assets over the past year, reaching 124.758 billion pounds by the 2024 seals, compared to 88.662 billion pounds by the end of 2023.
