CIB's net profit jumps by 38.91%, recording EGP 16.6 bn during Q1-2025

The independent financial statements of the Commercial International Bank «CIB» for the financial period ending last March 31, issued a short while ago on its official website, revealed an increase in its net profits to 16.596 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 11.947 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 38.91%, and a total increase of 4.649 billion pounds.
Profit before income taxes jumped from 17.507 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2024, to 22.699 billion pounds during the same period in 2025, with a growth rate of 29.65%, and a total increase of 5.191 billion pounds.
Net income from revenue increased by about 34.84%, reaching 25.296 billion pounds during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to 18.760 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, an increase estimated at 6.536 billion pounds.
Net income from fees and commissions rose to 1.924 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 1.565 billion pounds during the corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 22.92%, and an increase of 358.847 million pounds.
In terms of the bank’s financial position, its portfolio of assets increased by about 3.91% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 1.257 trillion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 1.209 trillion pounds by the end of 2024, a total increase of 47.336 billion pounds.
The customer deposit portfolio rose to 996.12 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 967.895 billion pounds at the end of 2024, representing a growth of 2.92%.
The bank's total loans to customers jumped by about 5.04% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 409.198 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 389.575 billion pounds by the end of 2024, an increase estimated at about 19.623 billion pounds.
