Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 27 May 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.93% to record EGP 479.833 bn compared to EGP 475.393 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 115.516 mn which represents 2.24% of the total trading volume today after 2.488 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.18% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 1.49% to reach 32.397 points EGX70 increase by 0.93% to record 9.518 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.04% to record 12.962 points.
