Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 2 June 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.02% to record EGP 483.695 bn compared to EGP 483.821 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.56% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 378.678 mn which represents 10.22% of the total trading volume today after 8.042 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.89% of the total trading volume.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.54% to reach 32.520 points EGX70 increase by 0.23% to record 9.569 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 07.0% to record 13.049 points.
