The International Arab Banking Summit of the Union of Arab Banks, sponsored by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, witnessed the honoring of the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Hassan Abdalla, and granting him the «Governor of the Year 2025» award.

The Union of Arab Banks held the 2025 Arab International Banking Summit today entitled: "Economic Resilience in Light of Geopolitical Changes" in Paris, the capital of France, under the patronage of President Emmanuel Macron, and in cooperation with the French, European and international banking federations.

Wissam Fattouh, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Banks, said that Hassan Abdalla has proven his prowess in managing many difficult files thanks to his bold decisions and strategic vision, which formed a main pillar for developing effective monetary policies, in addition to his distinguished supervisory and supervisory role over banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector.

«Fattouh» added that what Hassan Abdalla achieved was not the result of a coincidence, but rather the result of continuous efforts over years of experience and dedicated work, driven by strong determination and long experience, which resulted in an honorable professional record that qualified him to assume the highest positions.

«Fattouh» explained that monetary policy in Egypt returned to the right track during the era of «Abdalla» after a series of crises, despite the rapid geopolitical developments that cast a shadow over the region.

He also pointed out that Hassan Abdalla was able to manage complex files competently, and took decisive decisions that contributed to eliminating the black market for currency and addressing the foreign exchange crisis, which contributed to the stability of the national economy.
