EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.984 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Tuesday 5 August 2025, the index reached 38.984 points, compared to 38.928 points at Yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 6 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen, UAE dirham, Chinese Yuan and remained stable against Saudi riyal.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 48.49to EGP 48.47while the average buying fell from EGP 48.39to EGP 48.37at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 56.16 to EGP 55.94 while the average buying fell from EGP 56.03 to EGP  55.82 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP  64.52to EGP 64.37 while the average buying fell from EGP 64.37 to EGP 64.22 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 32.88 to EGP 32.84 while the average buying fell from EGP 32.81 to EGP 32.77 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 6.75 to EGP 6.74 while the average buying price decreased from EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.73 at the end.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.20 to EGP 13.19while the average buying settled at EGP13.17  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal settled at EGP 12.92 while the average buying settled at 12.89 EGPat the end of today's trading.
