The foreign exchange rate witnessed an decrease at the end of Tuesday 5 August 2025 trading at Egypt's major banks.
First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:
U.S. dollar
The US dollar rate against EGP recorded EGP 48.3554 for buying and EGP 48.4923 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest dollar rate for buying was in «Ebank» at EGP 48.62 .
The lowest rate for selling was «NBK-Egypt» at EGP 48.45 .
Euro
The Euro rate against EGP recorded EGP 55.8070 for buying and EGP 55.9698 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.
The highest Euro rate for buying was in «Ebank» at EGP 56.16 .
The lowest rate for selling was in MID Bank at EGP 56.11 .
Pound Sterling
The pound sterling rate against EGP stands at EGP 64.2160 for buying and EGP 64.4172 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «IDB» at EGP 64.45 .
While the lowest rate for selling in Faisal Bank at EGP 64.44 .
Saudi Riyals
The Saudi riyal rate against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.8879 for buying and EGP 12.9251 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying today was in «IDB» at EGP 12.99 .
The lowest rate for selling was in Faisal Bank at EGP 12.91 .
Kuwaiti Dinar
Kuwaiti dinar rate today in Egypt reached EGP 158.1069 for buying and EGP 158.6063 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in saib at EGP 158.25 .
The lowest price for selling was in Faisal Bank at EGP 158.57 .
