ABC, ABK-Egypt, and FABMISR: Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in Net Fees and Commissions Income in Q1 2025

ABC topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt in terms of net fees and commissions income over the past 3 years, with an average growth rate of 180%.
ABK-Egypt came second with 71.6%, followed by FABMISR in third place with 75.5%. NBK-Egypt and Attijariwafa secured the fourth and fifth spots with average growth rates of 58.8% and 54.5%, respectively.
According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on net fees and commissions income over the past 3 years (2022–2024), ABC Bank – Egypt ranked first with an average growth of 180%, recording EGP 535.45 million in 2024, up from EGP 412.70 million in 2023 and EGP 83.56 million in 2022.
The ranking includes 13 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. All of them achieved positive growth in net fees and commissions income. Notably, ABC and FABMISR underwent acquisitions during this period, which influenced their growth rates.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt came second with an average growth rate of 88.2%, reaching EGP 1.51 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.22 billion in 2023 and EGP 402.53 million in 2022.
FABMISR ranked third with an average growth rate of 71.6%, recording EGP 2.49 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 1.96 billion in 2023 and EGP 1.05 billion in 2022.
NBK-Egypt followed in fourth place with an average growth rate of 58.8%, as net fees and commissions income rose to EGP 1.58 billion in 2024, from EGP 1.36 billion in 2023 and EGP 658.53 million in 2022.
Attijariwafa came fifth, averaging 54.8% growth, with net fess and commissions income reaching EGP 1.29 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 830.94 million in 2023 and EGP 491.65 million in 2022.
Emirates NBD Egypt ranked sixth with an average net fees and commissions income growth rate of 54.8% over the past three years, reaching EGP 1.7 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.12 billion in 2023 and EGP 534.14 million in 2022.
El Baraka Bank Egypt followed in seventh place, with an average growth rate of 54.1%, as net fees and commissions rose to EGP 861.28 million in 2024, compared to EGP 411.80 million in 2023 and EGP 264.9 billion in 2022.
ADCB came in eighth, recording a 52.3% growth rate, with reaching EGP 1.02 billion in 2024, versus EGP 644.06 million in 2023 and EGP 479.4 million in 2022.
In ninth place, Emirates ADIB – Egypt reported 49.5% average growth rate, which increased to EGP 1.86 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.51 billion in 2023 and EGP 1.02 billion in 2022.
Kuwait Finance House–Egypt secured the tenth spot, with an average growth rate of 49.1%, rising to EGP 986.96 million in 2024, compared to EGP 910.15 million in 2023 and EGP 495.59 billion in 2022.
