EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.829 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Monday 11 August 2025, the index reached points 38.829, compared to 38.817 points at last Yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 4 currencies that measure the performance of the pound, it increased against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, and Japanese Yen But it remained stable against Chinese Yuan, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 48.55 to EGP 48.54  while the average buying fell from EGP 48.45 to EGP 48.44  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 56.51 to EGP 56.50 while the average buying fell from EGP 56.39 to EGP  56.37 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt fell from EGP  65.31  to EGP 65.24 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.16 to EGP 65.08 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 32.86 to EGP 32.83 while the average buying decreased from EGP 32.79 to EGP 32.76 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt remained stable at   6.75 EGP while the average buying price remained stable at  EGP 6.74 at the end.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt remained stable at EGP 13.21 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.19 to EGP 13.18 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal remained stable at  EGP  12.93 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 12.90 at the end of today's trading.
