ABK-Egypt, NBK-Egypt, and AlBaraka: Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of Financing in the last 3 years

ABK-Egypt topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt in terms of financing over the past 3 years, with an average growth rate of 157.4%.
NBK-Egypt came second with 151.7%, followed by AlBaraka in third place with 150.3%. Attijariwafa and ADCB secured the fourth and fifth spots with average growth rates of 148.5% and 146.6%, respectively.
According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on financing over the past 3 years (2022–2024), ABK-Egypt ranked first with an average growth of 157.4%, recording EGP 69.09 billion in 2024, up from EGP 26.84 billion in 2021
The ranking includes 11 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. All of them achieved positive growth in finance.
Notably, ABC and FABMISR achieved 440.6% and 409.7% with growth rate in the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, they were excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.
NBK-Egypt came second with an average growth rate of 151.7%, reaching EGP 104.21 billion in 2024, up from EGP 41.4 billion in 2021.
Al Baraka ranked third with an average growth rate of 150.3%, recording EGP 60.60 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 24.21 billion in 2021.
Attijariwafa followed in fourth place with an average growth rate of 148.5%, as finance rose to EGP 59.55 billion in 2024, from EGP 23.96 billion in 2021.
ADCB came fifth, averaging 146.6% growth, with finance reaching EGP 54.96 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 22.29 billion in 2021.
Kuwait Finance House-Egypt ranked sixth with an average finance growth rate of 119.3% over the past three years, reaching EGP 84.99 billion in 2024, up from EGP 38.75 billion in 2021.
ADIB-Egypt followed in seventh place, with an average growth rate of 115.3%, as finance rose to EGP 102.74 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 47.73 billion in 2021.
Emirates NDB–Egypt came in eighth, recording a 102.3% growth rate, with financing reaching EGP 84.06 billion in 2024, versus EGP 41.56 billion in 2021.
In ninth place QNB-Egypt reported 97.7% average growth rate, which financing increased to EGP 365.2 billion in 2024, up from EGP 184.79 billion in 2021.
HSBC secured the tenth spot, with an average growth rate of 65.1%, rising to EGP 58.47 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 35.41 billion in 2021.
