EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.888 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Thursday 14 August 2025, the index reached 38.888 points, compared to 38.870 points at Yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 5 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, but it fell against Japanese Yen and remained stable against Chinese Yuan.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 48.37 to EGP 48.35 while the average buying fell from EGP 48.27to EGP 48.25 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt fell from EGP 56.67 to EGP 56.51 while the average buying fell from EGP 56.54 to EGP 56.39 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP  65.67  to EGP 65.66 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.51 to EGP 65.48 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.17 to EGP 13.16 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.14 to EGP 13.13 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from EGP 12.89to EGP  12.88 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 12.86 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 32.80 to EGP 33.00 while the average buying rose from EGP 32.72 to EGP 32.92 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt remained stable at 6.74 EGP while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.72 at the end of today's trading.
