EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 38.669 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during, Thursday 28 August 2025, the index reached 38.669 points, compared to 38.739 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 4 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it decreased against Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen,Chinese Yuan while it rose against US dollar, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal  .

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 56.40 to EGP 56.76 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.28 to EGP 56.63 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt rose from EGP 65.41 to EGP 65.78 while the average buying rose from EGP 65.26 to EGP 65.60 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose  from EGP 32.87  to EGP 33.13 while the average buying increased from EGP 32.80  to EGP 33.06 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan increased from EGP 6.79 to EGP 6.82 while the average buying price increased from EGP 6.78 to EGP 6.80 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 48.69 to EGP 48.64 , while the average buying decreased from EGP 48.59  to EGP 48.54  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt fell from EGP 13.25 to EGP 13.24 while the average buying decreased from EGP 13.23 to EGP 13.21 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.96 while the average buying decreased from EGP 12.95 to EGP 12.93 at the end of today's trading.
