EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 38.647 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during, Sunday 31 August 2025, the index reached 38.647 points, compared to 38.669 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 3 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it decreased against US dollar, Euro and UAE dirham, while it rose against pound sterling, Japanese Yen, and remained stable against Chinese Yuan , Saudi riyal  .

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP 48.64 to EGP 48.66 , while the average buying decreased from EGP 48.54  to EGP 48.53  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 56.76 to EGP 56.87 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.63 to EGP 56.70 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt increased from EGP 13.24 to EGP 13.25 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 13.21 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt fell from EGP 65.78 to EGP 65.72  while the average buying fell from EGP 65.60 to EGP 65.53 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decresased  from EGP 33.13 to EGP 33.10 while the average buying fell from EGP 33.06 to EGP 33.00 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan remained stable at EGP 6.82 while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.80 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal remained stable at EGP 12.96 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 12.93 at the end of today's trading.
