Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 3 September 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.30% to record EGP 530.517 bn compared to EGP 532.091 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.25% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 224.44 Mn which represents 5.8% of the total trading volume today after 4.36 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.37% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with a decrease all indicators, however turnover amounted EGP 258.8 Mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.12% to record 35.159 points “EGX70” decreased by 0.27% to record 10.977 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.61% to record 14.506 points.
