EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.940 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Tuesday 16 Septemebr 2025, the index reached 38.940 points, compared to 38.926 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 5 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it increased against US dollar, pound sterling, Chinese Yuan, UAE dirham and Saudi riyal while it decreased against Euro and Japanese Yen.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 48.22   to EGP 48.15  , while the average buying decreased from EGP 48.12 to EGP 48.05 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt fell from EGP 65.66 to EGP 65.65 while the average buying decreased from EGP 65.51 to EGP 65.50 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan decreased from EGP 6.77 to EGP 6.76 while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.75 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.85 to EGP 12.83 while the average buying fell from EGP 12.82 to EGP 12.81 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 13.13 to EGP 13.11  while the average buying rose fell EGP 13.10 to EGP 13.08 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 56.70  to EGP 56.83 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.58 to EGP 56.71 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 32.72 to EGP 32.74 while the average buying rose from  EGP 32.65  to EGP 32.67 at the end of today's trading.
