EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 38.847 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during,Thursday 18 Septemebr 2025, the index reached 38.847 points, compared to 38.865 points at yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 5 currencies that measures the  performance of the pound, it decreased against U.S dollar, Euro, Chinese  Yuan, Saudi riyal , UAE dirham, while it increased against Japanes Yen and remained stable against  pound sterling.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP 48.19 to EGP 48.24 , while the average buying increased from EGP 48.09 to EGP 48.14  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 57.06  to EGP 57.08 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.93 to EGP 56.96 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.78  to EGP 6.79 while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.77 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal increased from EGP 12.84 to EGP 12.86while the average buying rose from EGP 12.81 to EGP 12.83  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt rose from EGP 13.12 to EGP 13.13 while the average buying rose EGP 13.09 to EGP 13.10 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 32.95 to EGP 32.75   while the average buying fell from  EGP 32.87 to EGP 32.68  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt remained stable at  EGP 65.77 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.61 to EGP 65.60 at the end of today's trading.
