EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.225 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded a decrease against major currencies by the close of trading on Wednesday, 1 October 30 2025 drooped to 39.225 points at the end of the day, compared to 39.231 points at the close of Yesterday’s trading.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its decrease against the Pound sterling, Japanese yen while it increased against US dollar, Euro, Saudi riyal, UAE dirham, and Chinese yuan at the end of today’s trading session.
The average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 64.38 to EGP 64.61 by the end of the day, while the average buying price rose from EGP 64.24 to EGP 64.45 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen rose from EGP 32.37 to EGP 32.58 by the close of trading, while the average buying price increased from EGP 32.30 to EGP 32.51 .
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.93 to EGP 47.90 , while the average buying price in Egypt fell from EGP 47.83 to EGP 47.80 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Euro fell from EGP 56.26 to EGP 56.23 by the close of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt decreased from EGP 56.14 to EGP 56.09 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.78 to EGP 12.77 by the close of trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 12.75 to EGP 12.74 at the end of the day.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 13.05 to EGP 13.04 by the close of trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 13.02 to EGP 13.01 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 6.73 to EGP 6.72 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.71.
