EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.595 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the close of trading on Tuesday 7 October 2025 rose to 39.595 points at the end of the day, compared to 39.526 points at the close of yesterday’s trading.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its increase against the US dollar, Euro, Pound sterling, Japanese yen, ,Chinese yuan, Saudi riyal and UAE dirham at the end of today’s trading session.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.66 to EGP 47.61 , while the average buying price in Egypt fell from EGP 47.56 to EGP 47.51 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Euro fell from EGP 55.64 to EGP 55.51 by the close of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt decreased from EGP 55.51 to EGP 55.39 .
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.01 to EGP 63.83 by the end of the day, while the average buying price fell from EGP 63.85 to EGP 63.69 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP 31.70 to EGP 31.56 by the close of trading, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 31.63 to EGP 31.48.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan decreased from EGP 6.69 to EGP 6.68 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 6.68 to EGP 6.67 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.70 to EGP 12.69 by the close of trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 12.68 to EGP 12.66 at the end of the day.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.96 by the close of trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.94 to EGP 12.93.
