EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.568 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the end of trading on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, as the index value rose to 39.538 points, compared to 39.599 points at the end of Yesterday’s session.
The decline in the Egyptian Pound Index came as a result of its depreciation against the Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, and Chinese Yuan, while it strengthened against the US Dollar, Saudi Riyal, and UAE Dirham by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Euro rose from EGP 55.19 to EGP 55.45 by the end of today’s session, while the average buying price increased from EGP 55.07 to EGP 55.33.
The average selling price of the British Pound rose from EGP 63.35 to EGP 63.70, while the average buying price increased from EGP 63.22 to EGP 63.55.
The average selling price of the Japanese Yen increased from EGP 31.41 to EGP 31.50, and the average buying price rose from EGP 31.33 to EGP 31.42.
The average selling price of the Chinese Yuan inched up from EGP 6.68 to EGP 6.69, while the average buying price remained stable at EGP 6.67.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the US Dollar decreased from EGP 47.76 to EGP 47.69, and the average buying price fell from EGP 47.66 to EGP 47.59.
The average selling price of the Saudi Riyal dropped from EGP 12.73 to EGP 12.71, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 12.70 to EGP 12.69.
Similarly, the average selling price of the UAE Dirham declined from EGP 13.00 to EGP 12.98, and the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.95 by the end of today’s trading session.
