Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 6 November 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.19% to record EGP 617.78 bn compared to EGP 610.54 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.52% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 889.78 Mn which represents 12.74% of the total trading volume today after 20.73 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.21% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s trading session with all indices ending in green, supported by net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 130.2 million.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.09% to record 40.101 points, “EGX70” rose by 0.03% to record 12.128 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.38% to record 16.024 points.
