The Pound Index Declines Against Major Currencies to 39.617 Points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index declined against major currencies at the end of trading today, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, as the index fell to 39.617 points by the end of today’s trading, compared to 39.751 points at the end of yesterday’s trading session on Tuesday.
The decline in the pound index came as a result of its depreciation against the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Japanese yen, the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal at the close of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar rose from EGP 47.56 to EGP 47.63 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price increased from EGP 47.46 to EGP 47.54 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the euro increased from EGP 55.24 to EGP 55.58 at the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price rose from EGP 55.11 to EGP 55.46 at the close of today’s session.
The average selling price of the British pound increased from EGP 62.81 to EGP 63.36 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 62.67 to EGP 63.22 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also increased from EGP 30.49 to EGP 30.65 at the close of today’s trading, and the average buying price rose from EGP 30.42 to EGP 30.59 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.72 to EGP 6.74 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt increased from EGP 6.71 to EGP 6.73 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham also increased from EGP 12.95 to EGP 12.97 at the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price rose from EGP 12.92 to EGP 12.94 at the end of today’s session.
Likewise, the average selling price of the Saudi riyal increased from EGP 12.67 to EGP 12.69 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 12.64 to EGP 12.66 at the end of today’s session.
