The foreign exchange rate witnessed a decrease at the end of Sunday 11 January 2026 trading at Egypt's major banks.
First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:
U.S. dollar
The US dollar rate against EGP recorded EGP 47.1321 for buying and EGP 47.2691 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest dollar rate for buying was in «EGBANK» at EGP 47.25.
The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 47.15.
Euro
The Euro rate against EGP recorded EGP 54.8477 for buying and EGP 55.0165 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.
The highest Euro rate for buying was in «EGBANK» at EGP 55.30.
The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 54.99.
Pound Sterling
The pound sterling rate against EGP stands at EGP 63.1524 for buying and EGP 63.3736 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «EGBANK» at EGP 63.85.
While the lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 63.42.
Saudi Riyals
The Saudi riyal rate against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.5679 for buying and EGP 12.6051 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying today was in «ABK-Egypt» at EGP 12.58.
The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 12.58.
Kuwaiti Dinar
Kuwaiti dinar rate today in Egypt reached EGP 154.1022 for buying and EGP 154.6004 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in «HSBC-Egypt» at EGP 154.31.
The lowest price for selling was in «NBK-Egypt» at EGP 154.23.
Emirati Dirham
The rate of Emirati dirham today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.8324 for buying and EGP 12.8714 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
