Foreign exchange rates at the end of Wednesday trading

The foreign exchange rate witnessed slight changes at the end of Wednesday 28 January 2026 trading at Egypt's major banks.

First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:

U.S. dollar

The US dollar fell slightly against EGP recorded EGP 46.8643 for buying and EGP 46.9643 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest dollar rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 47.03 .

The lowest rate for selling was in «ALEXBANK», «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 46.88 .

Euro

The Euro rose against EGP recorded EGP 56.1153 for buying and EGP 56.2444 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.

The highest Euro rate for buying was in Sues Canal Bank, and «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 56.32 .

The lowest rate for selling was in NXT Bank at EGP 56.08 .

Pound Sterling

The pound sterling rise slightly against EGP stands at EGP 64.5743 for buying and EGP 64.7309 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 64.85 .

While the lowest rate for selling was in «IDB» at EGP 64.23 .

Saudi Riyals

The Saudi riyal fell slightly against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.4958 for buying and EGP 12.5231 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying today was in «ADIB-Egypt», «EBank» at EGP 12.54 .

The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 12.50 .

Kuwaiti Dinar

Kuwaiti dinar decline today against EGP in Egypt reached EGP 153.7542 for buying and EGP 154.1329 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in «Saib» at EGP 153.67 .

The lowest price for selling was in «Saib» at EGP 154.05 .

Emirati Dirham

The rate of Emirati dirham today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.7584 for buying and EGP 12.7871 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying the Emirati dirham today was in «ADIB», «EBank» at EGP 12.80 .

The lowest price for selling the Emirati dirham today was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 12.77 .
