Al Baraka Bank Egypt has announced the launch of its first fully integrated digital branch at its headquarters on South 90th Street in New Cairo, marking a sector-first milestone as the first Islamic bank in Egypt to introduce a digital branch.
The launch represents a strategic step toward strengthening electronic banking services and accelerating digital transformation, in line with market needs and the regulations of the Central Bank of Egypt. The digital branch reflects the bank’s long-term strategy to expand its digital footprint and deliver innovative banking solutions that combine advanced technology with the principles of Islamic banking.
Al Baraka Bank Egypt aims for digital channels to serve 70% of its total customer base, underscoring its commitment to building a robust digital infrastructure that supports the national economy. This initiative represents a qualitative leap for Islamic banking in Egypt, enhancing the Bank’s competitiveness and setting a new benchmark for customer experience.

It’s worth mentioning that the digital branch offers fully smart services powered by the latest technologies, significantly reducing reliance on manual processes and accelerating banking transactions. Customers can access banking services throughout the week, with simplified account opening and faster, more flexible transaction execution compared to traditional branches.
With the addition of this branch, Al Baraka Bank Egypt’s nationwide network now comprises 44 branches, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to delivering a seamless, customer-centric banking experience aligned with its growing focus on digital channels.
