EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 36.075 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index decrease against major currencies at the end of trading on tuesday 17 March 2026, where the value of the index fell to 36.075 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 36.103 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on monday.

The decline of the Pound index came as a result of its increased against the euro, the pound sterling, the Japanese yenthe, the Chinese yuan. its stability against the UAE dirham, and its increased against the US dollar, Saudi riyal at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the euro rose from EGP 60.19 to EGP 60.35 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 60.06 to EGP 60.23 at the end of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling rose from EGP 69.60 to EGP 69.91 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price rose from EGP 69.45 to EGP 69.76 .

The average selling price of the Japanese yen rose from EGP32.94 to EGP 32.96 and the average purchase price rose from EGP 32.87 to EGP 32.90 .

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 7.60 to EGP 7.61 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price rose from EGP 7.58 to EGP 7.59  .

The average selling price of the UAE dirham stablized at EGP 14.27 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt stablized at EGP 14.24 by the close of trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 52.43 to EGP 52.41 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 52.32 to EGP 52.31 . 

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 14.01 to EGP 13.96 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 13.94 to EGP 13.93 .
