EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 35.186 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index increase against major currencies at the end of trading on wednesday 1 April 2026, where the value of the index rose to 35.186 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 34.652 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on tuesday.
The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its decreased against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, Saudi riyal at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 54.64 to EGP 53.63 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 54.54 to EGP 53.57 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 62.87 to EGP 62.28 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 62.75 to EGP 62.15 .
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 72.39 to EGP 71.38 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 72.21 to EGP 71.22 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 7.92 to EGP 7.80 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 7.90 to EGP 7.79 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP 34.28 to EGP 33.84 and the average purchase price fell from EGP 34.21 to EGP 33.78 .
The average selling price of the UAE dirham fell from EGP 14.88 to EGP 14.62 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt fell from EGP 14.85 to EGP 14.58 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 14.56 to EGP 14.30 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 14.53 to EGP 14.27 at the end of today’s trading.
