Currency rates at the beginning of Monday trading
The foreign exchange rates witnessed a stability at the beginning of Monday 4 May 2026 trading at Egyptian banks. First Bank monitors currency rates in Egyptian banks through the following report:
U.S. Dollar
The average dollar rate against EGP recorded a slight decrease yesterday at EGP 53.4711 for buying, while the sell price recorded EGP 53.5714 according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest dollar rate for buying was in ADIB – Egypt at EGP 53.59 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
The lowest rate for selling was in Emirates NBD at EGP 53.47 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
Euro
The average Euro rate witnessed a slight increase against EGP yesterday, as it recorded EGP 62.6682 for buying and EGP 62.7964 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank website.
The highest Euro rate for buying was in ADIB – Egypt at EGP 62.78 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
The lowest rate for selling was in HSBC at EGP 62.78 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
Pound Sterling
The pound sterling saw a slight increase during yesterday's trading against EGP to EGP 72.5710 for buying and EGP 72.7446 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in ADIB – Egypt at EGP 72.69 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
While the lowest rate for selling was in HSBC at EGP 72.51 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
Saudi Riyals
The Saudi riyal witnessed a slight decrease at the close of yesterday's trading to record EGP 14.2567 for buying and EGP 14.2842 for selling, according to data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying today was in ADIB – Egypt at EGP 14.29 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
The lowest rate for selling the Saudi riyal was in Emirates NBD at EGP 14.26 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
Kuwaiti Dinar
The Kuwaiti dinar witnessed a slight decrease at the close of yesterday's trading in Egypt to reach EGP 174.5427 for buying and EGP 174.9271 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in SAIB at EGP 174.52 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
The lowest price for selling the Kuwaiti dinar was in Credit Agricole at EGP 174.54 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
Emirati Dirham
The rate of Emirati dirham witnessed a slight decrease at the close of yesterday's trading in Egypt to EGP 14.5563 for buying and EGP 14.5856 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Emirati dirham today was in ADIB – Egypt at EGP 14.59 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
The lowest price for selling the Emirati dirham today was in Emirates NBD and Faisal Islamic Bank at EGP 14.57 at the beginning of Egyptian bank trading today.
