14 Banks Maintain Their Rankings in «First Bank» List of the Top 50 Arab Banks

«The First Bank» Top 100 Arab Banks Ranking for 2025 revealed that a number of leading Arab banking institutions successfully maintained their positions within the list of the largest 50 Arab banks compared with 2024, reflecting the stability of their financial standing and their ability to achieve growth while preserving their competitive positions.

In this context, six banks retained their positions within the top ten. Saudi National Bank «SNB» remained in third place for the second consecutive year, supported by a 9.8% year-on-year increase in assets, which reached 322.61 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 293.89 USD bn at the end of 2024.

«Emirates NBD» also maintained fourth place after its assets grew by 16.8% during 2025 to reach 317.04 USD bn by the end of December, compared with 271.36 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, Al Rajhi Bank retained fifth place for the second consecutive year, supported by a 7.5% year-on-year increase in assets to 278.15 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 258.84 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» ranked sixth for the second consecutive year after its assets increased by 18.5% during 2025, reaching 210.64 USD bn at year-end, compared with 177.75 USD bn at the end of 2024.

National Bank of Egypt «NBE» also maintained seventh place, benefiting from a 19.3% year-on-year increase in assets to 191.03 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 160.06 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Likewise, National Bank of Kuwait «NBK» retained eighth place for the second consecutive year after recording asset growth of approximately 13% during 2025, bringing total assets to 148.14 USD bn by the end of December, compared with 130.97 USD bn at the end of 2024.

At the level of banks ranked from 11th to 50th place, eight additional banks successfully maintained their positions without change.

 «SAB» remained in 11th place for the second consecutive year, supported by a 13.6% year-on-year increase in assets, which reached 121.16 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 106.63 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Dubai Islamic Bank «DIB» also retained 12th place in both 2024 and 2025 after its assets rose by 20.7% year-on-year to 113.25 USD bn at the end of December 2025, compared with 93.85 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, Bank ABC – Bahrain maintained 25th place for the second consecutive year, supported by a 7.9% increase in assets during 2025, which reached 49.91 USD bn by the end of December, compared with 46.27 USD bn at the end of 2024.

The Saudi Investment Bank remained in 29th place after its assets increased to 46.05 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 41.81 USD bn at the end of 2024, reflecting a growth rate of 10% during the year.

Likewise, Bank Muscat retained 33rd place in both 2024 and 2025 after recording asset growth of 8.7% during 2025, bringing total assets to 39.30 USD bn by the end of December, compared with 36.14 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Burgan Bank of Kuwait ranked 39th for the second consecutive year after its assets increased by 11.6% year-on-year to 29.55 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 26.49 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, Crédit Populaire d’Algérie maintained 41st place for the second consecutive year, with assets growing by 6.7% during 2025 to reach 25.41 USD bn, compared with 23.84 USD bn at the end of 2024.

Gulf Bank of Kuwait also remained in 42nd place for the second consecutive year, supported by a 3% year-on-year increase in assets, which reached 25.01 USD bn by the end of 2025, compared with 24.29 USD bn at the end of 2024.

These results reflect the stability of the competitive landscape among leading Arab banks, particularly given the relatively close asset sizes of many major banking institutions across the region.
