«ADIB» and «Suez Canal» Shares Recorded the Biggest Gains Among Listed Banks at the Close of Today's Trading

The Egyptian Exchange's trading session ended with a broadly positive performance for listed banking stocks, as nine banking shares closed higher, while three stocks declined.
«ADIB-Egypt» topped the list of the day's biggest gainers, rising 4.82% to close at 51.49 EGP , compared with 49.12 EGP at the opening of the session.
Suez Canal Bank ranked second among the top gainers, advancing 1.85% to close at 38.50 EGP , up from 37.80 EGP at the open. It was followed by QNB Egypt, whose share price increased 1.46% to 56.84 EGP, compared with 56.02 EGP at the beginning of trading.
Commercial International Bank gained 0.94%, closing at 140.0 EGP versus an opening price of 138.70 EGP , while Housing and Development Bank rose 0.85% to finish the session at 82.70 EGP .
Meanwhile, Export Development Bank of Egypt advanced 0.45% to close at 19.94 EGP, compared with 19.85 EGP at the open. The Egyptian Gulf Bank also posted a gain of 0.41%, ending the session at 0.493 USD, up from 0.491 USD at the opening.
On the downside, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP-listed) recorded the steepest decline among listed banking stocks, falling 0.75% to close at 37.05 EGP, compared with 37.33 EGP at the start of trading.
Crédit Agricole Egypt ranked second among the decliners, slipping 0.21% to 24.15 EGP from 24.20 EGP at the opening, followed by Al Baraka Bank Egypt, whose share price edged down 0.04% to 22.58 EGP , compared with 22.59 EGP at the beginning of the session.
