Suez Canal Bank leads EGX-listed banks in net interest income growth in H1 2026
Suez Canal Bank ranked first among the fastest-growing EGX-listed banks by net interest income in H1 2026, with growth of 47.4 per cent, according to First Bank’s ranking. Net interest income rose to EGP 5.70 billion from EGP 3.87 billion in H1 2025. Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt ranked second, with net interest income rising 31.8 per cent to EGP 6.53 billion in H1 2026 from EGP 4.95 billion in the same period of 2025. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB) ranked third after net interest income increased 27.7 per cent to EGP 11.95 billion in H1 2026 from EGP 9.36 billion a year earlier. All 12 EGX-listed banks recorded positive growth in net interest income during H1 2026, according to First Bank’s ranking. EGBANK, ADIB Egypt, and Suez Canal Bank remained among the top five fastest-growing listed banks by net interest income in both H1 2025 and H1 2026. Combined net interest income at EGX-listed banks rose 19.7 per cent to about EGP 154.62 billion in H1 2026 from EGP 129.19 billion in H1 2025, an increase of about EGP 25.43 billion. Commercial International Bank (CIB) ranked first among EGX-listed banks by net interest income in H1 2026, recording about EGP 60.48 billion, followed by QNB Egypt in second place with about EGP 28.43 billion. All figures and growth rates cited in the analysis are based on the standalone financial statements disclosed by each bank for the period ended June 2026.
