Saudi banks secure 10 places in First Bank’s Arab top 30, led by SNB
First Bank’s ranking of the 100 largest Arab banks by total assets at end-June 2026 revealed a strong Saudi presence, with all 10 Saudi banks included in the ranking securing places among the top 30.
Saudi National Bank (SNB) led the Kingdom’s representation, ranking fourth among Arab banks with total assets of USD 331.28bn at end-June 2026.
Al Rajhi Bank followed in fifth place, with assets of USD 280.73bn, trailing SNB by USD 50.55bn.
Saudi Arabia’s presence extended further into the leading positions, with Riyad Bank ranking ninth with assets of USD 142.03bn, followed by Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) in 11th place with USD 126.28bn.
Further down the ranking, Alinma Bank secured 16th place with assets of USD 87.64bn, just USD 340mn ahead of Banque Saudi Fransi, which ranked 17th with USD 87.30bn.
Arab National Bank ranked 20th, with total assets of USD 78.65bn, extending the Kingdom’s representation across the upper ranks of the list.
Three more Saudi banks completed the Kingdom’s presence among the top 30. Bank Albilad ranked 26th with assets of USD 49.63bn, followed by the Saudi Investment Bank in 27th place with USD 48.98bn and Bank AlJazira in 28th with USD 48.22bn at end-June 2026.
The distribution underscores the concentration of Saudi banks among the region’s largest institutions. Three featured in the top 10, including two among the five largest Arab banks, while seven ranked among the top 20 and all 10 secured places within the top 30.
