CBE Increases maximum for InstaPay transactions to EGP 400,000 per month

The Central Bank of Egypt announced modifications of the monthly maximum value of digital transactions through InstaPay to reach EGP400,000 compared to EGP200,000 before modifications.

In a statement issued today, CBE revealed an increase in the number and values ​​of the transactions for real-time payments system, led to an increase in the daily and monthly limits for transactions of InstaPay.

The increase aims to include the various segments and uses, and the necessary measures are being taken to modify the maximum limits as of March 15, 2023.

CBE added that the maximum limits have been modified, so that the maximum value of a single transaction is EGP 70,000, compared to EGP 50,000 before modifications.

Moreover, announced a modification to the daily maximum value of transactions to EGP 120,000, compared to EGP 60,000 before modification.
