HD Bank achieves a boom in Mobile and Internet banking services

Housing and Development Bank, led by Hassan Ghanem, CEO, was able to achieve strong and remarkable growth rates in the field of digital services during the current year, as growth rates for the number and value of bank transactions were estimated at nearly 250%.

The rate of increase in the number of subscribers to the mobile and internet banking services is estimated at 25% during the current year, and the volume of financial transactions through InstaPay has achieved a remarkable increase since the bank joined the app in December 2022.

Moreover, Hassan Ghanem said that the bank has adopted an ambitious expansion strategy in the field of digital transformation, by developing the bank's technological structure and providing it with the latest digital systems through growing investments to meet the rapid and successive digital transformation, in order to enhance the policy of the state and CBE to transform into A cashless society as the most secure, accurate and flexible way.

Ghanem added that his bank was able, within a short period of time, to achieve clear and steady steps towards digital transformation, to reach the largest customer base and providing various banking services and products to meet their needs to support financial inclusion and enhance the culture of e-payment.

Ghanem pointed out that the bank is keen to launch many applications and electronic services, such as e-wallets, Internet and mobile banking, which provide more than 50 services directly to facilitate customers through these applications.

He explained that these services such as transferring money inside and outside the bank, opening online accounts, linking new certificates, managing customer cards, paying credit card debts and many other services, in addition to InstaPay, cash in & cash out services.

Ghanem indicated that the bank is seeking to expand the number of ATMs, which have reached 440 machines in various governorates.

He noted that the bank has initiated large investments to develop and update these applications and provide them with the latest digital systems to meet the rapid and successive digital transformation.

Ghanem emphasized implementing digital transformation strategy during the next stage and adopting all developments in financial technology field, which supports the bank's vision and strategy to become one of the largest commercial banks in the Egyptian banking market.
