Government Electronic Collection System Revenues Reach EGP 81 Bn by June 2022

The Central Bank of Egypt has revealed a surge in the value of government service collections since the launch of the electronic government collection system in May 2019, reaching EGP 81 bn by the end of June 2022. 

In a recent report, CBE indicated that the number of electronic sales points in government entities has reached 22,000, with CBE contributing EGP 46 mn to its investment cost in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance.

It is worth mentioning that the electronic government collection system was launched nationwide through the electronic collection channels of the Ministry of Finance and through participating banks, namely NBE and Banque Misr, facilitated by Meeza.
