The statement of financial position for the Central Bank of Egypt, ending on November 30, 2023, revealed a 25.6% growth in its net profits last month, to record EGP 56.218 bn in November 2023, compared to EGP 44.777 bn in October 2023.

CBE’s total assets grew by 30.61% during the first 11 months of this year, reaching EGP 4.668 tn by the end of November 2023, compared to EGP 3.574 tn by the end of December 2022.

Gold reserves increased by 40.67% During the first 11 months of the current year, reaching EGP 254.6 bn by the end of November 2023, compared to EGP 181 bn by the end of December 2022.

In addition, CBE’s balances with banks rose by 105.2% in the first 11 months of the current year, totaling around EGP 535.7 bn by the end of November 2023, compared to EGP 261.1 bn by the end of December 2022.
