Industrial activity is the highest-receiving of aiBank’s corporate loans by the end of 2023
The amount of loans granted by the aiBANK for Industrial Activity recorded EGP 6.51 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to 6.45 bn bn by the end of December 2022, to account for 42.65% of total corporate loans by the end of 2023 compared to 41.63% by the end of the previous year
The bank's loans for commercial activity jumped by 129.8% and an increase of EGP 161 mn over the past year, after registering EGP 285 mn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 123.8 mn by the end of 2022
The relative weight of the Bank's loans for commercial activity has risen relatively despite the rapid growth it has witnessed in order to get a share of 1.87% of total corporate loans by the end of last year compared to a weight of 0.80% by the end of December 2022.
The Bank's loans to financial corporates recorded about EGP 1.52 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 1.80 bn by the end of December 2022, while loans to mortgage corporates recorded about EGP 2.26 bn by the end of last year.
The aiBANK moved to expand its policy towards granting loans to other activities, increasing its share to 29% of the Bank's total corporate loans by the end of December 2023, compared to 18.5% by the end of 2022.
The Bank's loans for other activities rose from EGP 3.9 bn by 2022 to EGP 4.42 bn by December 2023, growing by 11.92%, and an estimated increase of EGP 471 mn over the past year.
The bank's total customer loans increased by 9.13% and an increase of EGP 3.28 bn over the past year, after registering EGP 22.76 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 20.86 bn by the end of 2022.
