HD Bank's retail loans grow by 17.6%, reaching EGP 24.9 bn during 2023

The separate financial statements of HD Bank, for the period ending on December 31 of the last year, have revealed a growth in the bank's portfolio of retail loans by a rate of 17.56% during 2023, amounting to an increase of EGP 3.7 bn.
The size of the bank's portfolio of Retail loans reached EGP 24.92 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 21.19 bn by the end of December 2022, accounting for 54.78% of the total loans by end of 2023..
Contributing to this growth, the size of the bank's credit cards increased by 33.3%, with an increase of EGP 32 mn during the last year, moving from EGP 95.8 mn by the end of December 2022, to reach EGP 128 mn by the end of December 2023.
HD Bank's personal loans rose by 23% and witnessed an increase of EGP 2.1 bn during the last year to record EGP 11.17 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 9.08 bn by the end of December 2022.
In addition, the bank's portfolio of Mortgage loans surged by 13.2% with an increase of EGP 1.46 bn during the last year, to record EGP 12.5 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 11.1 bn by the end of December 2022.
It is worth noting that the total customer loan portfolio increased by a growth rate of 19.2% and an increase of EGP 7.3 bn during last year, reaching EGP 45.5 bn by the end of December 2023, compared to EGP 38.2 bn by the end of December 2022.
