The Arab African International Bank (AAIB) held a ceremony for its 60th anniversary in Suhur, which is the meal consumed early in the morning by Muslims before fasting, in the New Egyptian Museum, representing its authenticity and excellence.
Tamer Waheed, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Arab African International Bank, began with an opening speech thanking all the attendees, on top of them His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, saying: "In particular, I thank the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, who I hope will allow me to say that he is not with us today as Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, but here he is as the son of this Bank and especially the son who has taken responsibility for the leadership of this Bank for two decades in which the Bank has reached what it is now."
He added: "Many know the date of the establishment of this bank, but few know the history of this bank and it is certainly a date worth stopping at. This history is the foundation of its past, present and future. "
The ceremony viewed the Bank's development and successes over 60 years since its foundation in 1964 to date, reviewing all the great successes and strong business results recorded by the Bank since the beginning of the millennium.
The celebration brought together more than 3000 employees and many of the bank's executive and non-executive leaders.
