Human recognition of nature's rights has become imperative to safeguard the future; his work must be founded in a way that achieves its goal of protecting the environment; so that, the present and the future win together, and he can do so through so-called green jobs, not only because it is a sustainable development approach, but because nature is the only source of all green economy occupations and jobs if exploited well.

Green jobs are defined as jobs that help reduce negative environmental impacts; ultimately, environmental, economic and social sustainability and, more precisely, decent functions are achieved at the same time: reducing energy consumption and raw materials, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste and pollution, protecting and restoring ecosystems

These green jobs can be found and created in a wide range of sectors, encompassing all skill levels, from engineers and technicians to blue collar workers

The transition to a greener economy will bring about changes in employment and hence in incomes, with both positive and negative effects in terms of job creation

An ILO report predicts that the green economy has the inevitable potential to create 24 million jobs worldwide by 2030, provided that right policies are in place to promote a greener economy

Green skills, in the experts' view, mean capabilities based on the knowledge, values and attitudes needed to live in a sustainable and effective society in terms of sustainable natural resources that can be supported and developed

The Egyptian Government seeks to promote green transformation efforts in line with the Presidential directions towards the development of an integrated national hydrogen production strategy with the participation of all relevant sectors of the State. A number of agreements for green hydrogen projects worth $85 billion were signed during COP 27, which will require about 40 GW of green energy to operate.

This strategy came in the light of the growing global interest in green hydrogen projects as a promising source of energy in the future, and in conjunction with the turbulence of the global energy market, which reinforces the imperative of a shift towards green jobs in the Egyptian economy to ensure sustainability standards
