Personal loans account for 96.3% of ABK-Egypt's portfolio by the end of March 2024

ABK-Egypt's separate financial statements, ended March 31, revealed that the Bank's total retail loan portfolio grew by 7.3% and an increase of EGP 1.2 bn during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 17.9 bn by the end of March 2024, compared to 16.7 bn by the end of December 2023.

The size of the personal loan portfolio grew by 7.1% and increased by EGP 1.1 bn during the first quarter of this year, registering EGP 17.2 bn by the end of March 2024, compared to 16.1 bn by the end of December 2023, accounting for 96.3% of the bank's total retail loan portfolio.

The size of the bank's credit card portfolio jumped by 14.3%, increasing by about EGP 77 million in the first quarter of this year, registering about EGP 615 million by the end of March 2024, compared to 538 million by the end of December 2023.

The size of the debit current account portfolio increased by 6.2% during the first 3M of this year, reaching EGP 43.5 million by the end of March 2024, compared to about 41 million by the end of December 2023.

The total customer loan portfolio rose by 18% and an increase of EGP 8.4 bn during the first quarter of this year, registering some EGP 55.4 bn by the end of March 2024, compared to 47 bn by the end of December 2023.
