Egypt’s Agricultural Bank provides customers with a personal current account in local currency
Customers can now open with a personal current account in local currency to meet their banking needs with ease, whether it is cash deposits, withdrawals or to issue chequebooks. The Agricultural Bank of Egypt provides many banking services that help customers to complete all daily financial transactions easily and conveniently
The First Bank goes through the key features personal current account from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt:
- Issue a chequebook to use in daily deposit and withdrawal transactions
- Transfer cash from the account to any other account.
- Withdraw and deposit cash from any of the bank's branches.
- Collect the value of cheques and promissory notes written in favor of the customer on any bank and add their value to the account.
Opening a current account for minors
- Issue certificates of deposit or term deposit while adding the return to the account.
- Issue a direct debit card for withdrawal and deposit of the current account.
- Withdraw cash from any ATM at any time.
- Transfer salaries and pensions.
- Issue an account statement periodically.
Main conditions to open a personal current account:
- Only natural persons can open the account.
- Withdrawals from this account are made either by cheques from the bank customer or by using a direct debit card.
- Minimum amount to open a personal current account is EGP 1,000
Minimum amount to open a current account for a farmer:
500 EGP: If the customer an investment financing.
200 EGP: If the customer has an agricultural financing of more than 2000 EGP.
EGP 100: If the customer has an agricultural financing of less than EGP 2000.
Who have the right to open a personal current account
- Egyptian citizens.
- A foreigner with a valid residence permit for 6 months.
- A minor under guardianship or trusteeship
Required documents
For new customers
- A copy of a valid national ID card.
- A valid passport for foreigners
- A mechanized birth certificate for minors/
- Complete the data and ‘’know your customer’’ form.
