Ghanem assumed the position of Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Housing and Development Bank in September 2017, and then he was appointed as new chairperson of HDB by the end of 2019. He strived to achieve the bank’s vision to be among the top 10 banks operating in the Egyptian banking market. The bank is considered to be one of the most important economic institutions in Egypt since its establishment in 1979. Ghanem has succeeded in achieving the highest levels of competition, and developing the electronic infrastructure of the bank through the adoption of the principle of sustainable development. He has also set a plan to develop the costumers targeting policies, increase its market share and expand in its banking services and products.
