CIB announces Hisham Ezz Al-Arab as the Bank's CEO, Neveen Sabbour as non-executive Chair

Commercial International Bank - Egypt has decided to appoint Hisham Ezz Al-Arab as CEO and Board Member, succeeding Hussein Abaza, who terminated his term as previously planned.

The bank also decided to nominate Amr El-Ganainy as Executive director of the Board of Directors in his capacity as Deputy CEO. The Board also announced the appointment of the banker Tony Prestedge as Executive Adviser to the Board of Directors, Islam Zekry Executive Director of the Board who serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer and CBoard Member.

The Board of Directors of the CIB - Egypt also nominated Neveen Sabbour as the non-executive Chair of the Board to become the first woman to hold this position at the Bank.

The Bank stated that These appointments are the result of a comprehensive process the Board of Directors undertook to select a new CEO to lead the bank’s multifaceted business transformation during the next phase, during which the Bank aims to implement the digital transformation plan for all aspects of the Bank's activities while continuing the Bank's plan to prepare and support a number of future leaders.
