NBE seen its personal deposits acquiring 78.26% of total deposits at H1

National Bank of Egypt announced personal deposits accounted for 78.26% of the bank’s total customer deposit portfolio during the first half of 2022, according to its latest financial statement.

NBE’s personal deposits portfolio jumped by 17.01% recording EGP2.160 trillion at H1-22 compared to EGP 1.846 trillion at the end of 2021 with an increase of EGP 314 billion.

Moreover, the bank’s corporates deposits portfolio rose to EGP 600.279 billion by the end of June 2022, compared to EGP539.751 billion by the end of 2021, with a growth rate of 11.21% and an increase of 60.528 billion pounds.

In addition, its deposit portfolio jumped to record EGP 2.760 trillion pounds at H1-22 compared to EGP 2.386 trillion by the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 15.67% and an increase of 374 billion pounds.
