Domestic liquidity grows by 23.36% by end of October: Central Bank of Egypt

The banking sector domestic liquidity jumped 23.36% to stand at EGP7.182 trillion pounds in 10 months, compared to EGP5.822 trillion at the end of 2021 with an increase of EGP1.360 trillion, according to Central Bank of Egypt.

The domestic liquidity jumped by 3.35% month on month achieving an increase of EGP233.040 billion, compared to EGP6.949 trillion at the end of September 2022.

In addition, the money supply increased to EGP 1.662 trillion by the end of October 2022, compared to EGP 1.382 trillion by the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 20.29%.

Cash in circulation  outside the banking sector increased by the end of the first 10 months of this year, with a growth rate of 14.98%, as it rose from 701.882 billion pounds at the end of 2021, to 806.991 at the end of last October, achieving an increase of 105.109 billion pounds.
